FAQs

  • Absolutely! I utilize secure, end-to-end encrypted video conferencing as a virtual option. A link will be emailed to you prior to the beginning of our session. Please note you must be within the state of Utah to do a telehealth session.

Other limitations to telehealth also include if you do not have a private location or are operating a vehicle.

You may switch to a telehealth session for any reason, at any time. Please check with your insurance if your benefits change with virtual or telehealth options.

If you are ill, I encourage you to attend telehealth appointments while recovering.

  • In general, I will not see clients both for individual therapy and couples therapy. This is to ensure you are receiving unbiased care, and your individual goals and couples goals do not conflict with one another.

Some exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis. If you have questions or concerns, please address them with me.

Keep in mind that any information gathered in an individual session may be brought into a couples session.

  • Yes. You will be sent paperwork that needs to be completely filled out before the first session.

Couples, please note that you will both need to fill out your own set of paperwork.

  • You may cancel your appointment via email, voicemail, or on your online portal. If you would like to reschedule, please send me an email and I will reach out with availability.

Please note sessions must be cancelled at least 48 hours in advance, otherwise the full session fee of $165 for individuals, or $185 for couples, will be charged.

  • Yes, I do! If you would like to chat before scheduling an intake session, I can offer a free 15-minute phone call. We can discuss what services you are seeking, any questions about finances or payment, and what you are hoping to gain from therapy.

This call does not establish a therapeutic relationship nor guarantee services. If you or I feel that we may not be a good fit, I will do my best to provide referrals that may better match your needs.

Please fill out the contact form and include a request for a consultation prior to an intake session.

  • Your first session is considered your intake session. You will be sent forms to fill out prior to the session. During the session we will review the forms, I will assess your symptoms, discuss more about therapeutic options, and together we will set goals for treatment.

Please note that an intake session is not a guarantee of continued treatment. For some symptoms, you may require someone with different training or a higher level of care. If this is the case, I will do my best to provide you with referrals.
